The GLW and I have been riding through the local mountain and valley roads during these beautiful Autumn days and nights. Last night we missed a large species of deer and tonight a large male kangaroo. The deer around here are from escaped large meat yielding breeds, so a pretty heavy feral species and their numbers are out of control. The roos are plentiful as always.
I was thinking about LED driving/spot lights for my M750 scrambler.
Kits you'd recommend, tips? Any advice is appreciated. A bar type won't fit jsonder the headlight I guess I need two spot lights.

Denali makes fantastic accessory lighting.  Expensive, but great quality.

They can also be purchased from Twisted Throttle and Revzilla.

I had the small lights (DM) aimed to match the the low beam cut off and they both added fill and range.  They come with both driving and fog lenses.

Just looked at the sight.  $102 American, not bad.

I found a local firm similar to Denali with these 10 Watt spotties.

I guess one flood and one beam wired into the hi beam? Or would you use a seperate switch? Flood on the road side?

The company provides a plug n play pigtail that connects to the hi beam wire via H4 plug.

I had a fog on the right to illuminate the shoulder (spot critters) and the driving on the right.  Independent switch, key on.  Aimed to the low beam cut off so I could run them all the time.  My main goal was to create a triangle of light for visibility to others.  Improved lighting was an unplanned plus.  Mine were before the DataDim Technology or I would have aimed them higher.

I have 10 degree spot on the left, 20 degree driving on the right, pointed slightly toward right.

I run them on kene design’s programable dimmer, and there’s no ON / OFF switch. When the ignition is on, LED lights come on, and stay on all the time. Of course, you don’t have to do this kind of set up. You can just install them with simple ON / OFF switch. But I can guarantee you that you would be a lot happier with dimmer set up.



I installed three position toggle switch on the left side of handle bar (on clutch reservoir stay), so that I can change the brightness easily while riding.

My advise?

#1 You don't have to spend big $$$ for big brand. If you find a local company and you like the products, that would work just fine.

#2 Skene's intelligent dimmer is worth every penny. It's a whole lot better than having on / off switch.

#3 spot on the left / driving on the right set up
(For you, it would be opposite)
You don't have to have "flood", and the true flood pattern may not be available, And not that useful.
Slightly wider, normal driving light works just fine.



One, big reason I picked up Cyclops is that they have proper cut-off beam.
Without cut-off, or without dimmer, you'd blind yourself with those reflective road signs.
(Not to mention, that's be so annoying to oncoming drivers / riders.)

The local company sells excellent products like those stateside and I will be doing just that, long range spot on the right and flood/driving light on the left as we drive on the "English" side of the road.
Our local laws require that the spot lights are wired into the high beam, so I will use a pigtail kit that uses the H4 plug to trigger a relay. At least that's one less switch to wire up.

To revive this thread, the parts are sitting in a box because H4 DOT LED globes are now available. I could wire up the kit adding complexity to a clean set up or just fit a globe.

I got some of their excellent stuff in a box but every time I mocked it up on the scrambler I hated the extra clutter. Couldnt stand the idea of adding more stuff to the front of the bike, relays, amother switch, more wiring off the battery and another sub loom. I'll sell it on.
I'll more likely use Stedi products on my Ute.

If I decide to replace the whole headlight I'll use an item like you did on your Guzzi. Plug n play.

The LED globes are both ADR and have a good beam cut off. The Narva are very very good but the rear section fouls the back of the Monster bucket. They ended up transforming the utes headlights.

I was so disappointed I had to settle for a product with less performance and durablity in service hours. Still a vast improvement however. I dont get flashed by oncoming traffic and beam width and depth is excellent compared to a halogen globe (even the fancy ones). An excellent outcome for the price. What holds back performance is the oem lense and reflector, more so in the turns. When travelling upright it works very well giving a substantial improvent in night vision without the clutter.
I contacted Narva with customer feedback. 5 bloody mm..
