Have oil leak under vertical belt cover.  Replaced cam seal, it lasted a week.  Pulled it out inspected and reinstalled reseating it with pvc drift.  No luck.  Installed another new one and it lasted two days.  The only thing I can think of is that I installed them backwards.  They were installed concave side inwards. But I had put a screw in the original to remove it.  I did not notice any odd noise or observe any play in pulley that might indicate a bad bearing.   Any suggestions?

The cavity should have a liitle punched out edge to keep seal from spinning.
Did you notice that was there? It should be trimmed off after removing seal.
If not, it would hurt the new, eventually leaking.
Edge should be redone after seal is installed.
