To keep n topic were talking front end wiggle (that may, but probably not have to do with riding / engine break /de-cel )

my best guess would be with koko; front steering head proper torque adjustment; then the bearings in the steering head; as per you description at stop with some play (easy to check with one hand on front break and other on triple to frame connections then push back and forth; side to side); and head shaking at de-cel

then front wheel axel shaft proper torque adjustment, yoke bolts and end axel nut; then bearings …

if all that checks then same for rear wheel;
is the rear wheel bent?
then swing arm bearing adjustment;
chain & sprockets
main internal engine bearings Huh?
main engine mount through bolts???; check torque on those...eeeks,
... its a little disturbing ; need to pinpoint the issue.... but you know that that's why your posting.

<SNIP> knowing that I have to rebuild my front calipers (they're starting to stick). <SNIP>

When was the last time you cleaned the calipers?

Doing that this weekend. I only have access to my boyfriend's garage on Sunday's (he manages a restoration garage for vintage volvo's). I'll be doing all of the adjustments and cleaning this Sunday and will be able to report back Smiley

What about tire pressure?  I've found with Michelins 1 or 2 psi off can make a big difference in tracking through corners.  Even hard downshifting shouldn't on it's own put enough stress on anything to upset the front end, there might be something else going on.

On the street I found, both with the Pilots and Pures I needed to run higher pressure and felt the difference if they were a little low.
