Hi I have a 2007 S2R 800 and found a S4R Ducati performance mid pipe part number 979A00103. i remember reading that the S4R and S2R 800 have the same mid pipe. But in the Ducati performance catalog they have different part numbers. The 800 is 979A00105. I checked the forum and I cannot find the post again. Can anyone tell me if they are the same or if I can use it?

Some aftermarket companies have 1 pipe which fits the S2R800 & S4R996.  No idea about this DO pipe.  And an S4R998 pipe won’t fit.

Thanks I think the 2006 S4R uses a 996 motor so this might work

They have different part numbers in the parts catalog because they were not interchangeable. The S2R800 979A00105 was a full header that did not reuse any of the stock header pieces. So it could only be used on the S2R800

I can't speak to the 979A00103 for sure. I know it doesn't have the header pieces. Maybe it is interchangeable? If reusing the header pieces that connect to the engine.

I know the Arrow headers are interchangeable because you have to reuse part of the stock exhaust to connect it to the engine.

Thanks it dose look like it dose use the stock header part on both. Apparently the part for the S2R 1000 come with the header parts like the 800. I’m starting to learn a lot about it but still nothing saying they will work 100% yet.
