God that color scheme looks so good.

Any ideas on how they got the 18”/21” wheels done, besides the Earle extenders? Are those stock hubs with new spokes/rims?

I’m seriously considering getting a sled and riding Baja on it. I wish they had more info on the mods they made. Hell, they should sell it as an upgrade package.

Hmmmmm.... sell off the XR650 for a Scrambler?  I'll have to ponder on that one...

We do get out to the NV desert about once a year...

There is only room for 2 scooters in the garage... currently the 650 and my Monster.  One has to go before another can stay...

Makes sense! I also have a Monster and a Honda CRF450X in the garage. The sled seems to fit right in between the Monster and a proper dual sport dirt bike.

It's not hard to relace a wheel with whatever rim you want.

That 21" front will raise the front of the bike 2", maybe more depending on if it tries to fight with the horizontal head at full bump.

Rear can be raised or rear travel increased to level the bike.

There are repercussions from doing that, all of it takes weight off the front wheel and that's the last thing a Duc needs.

Silly question... does that Scrambler have an extended swing arm?

Silly question... does that Scrambler have an extended swing arm?

“Spider Grips needed to extend each bike’s swing arm to fit the bigger rear wheel, so they turned to LA-Based Earle Motors. Alex Earle has designed a set of plug-and-play swing arm extenders for the Scrambler—the same ones he used on his ‘Alaskan‘ build.“

Axle looks to be ~4" back in pics.

I suppose, as long as you can find the right fitting spokes, yeah?  If going for the heavy duty Excel or DID Dirtstars, you’d def want to get some Buchanan spokes that are up for the job.

I don’t see DS spokes for the 21/18 setup on Buchanan’s web site, but would be rad if they have them!
