Whilst discussing the PiTA need to annually bleed my back brake (with the caliper inverted), my dealer told me that this is a recognised issue and there are some different rear brake hoses now available to order to overcome this.

Apparently this is a FOC warranty retrofit, so if your 1200 (and maybe 821 also) suffers from a non existent rear brake you may want to talk to your dealer.

I've found this issue to be very common among the ABS equipped bikes.

The long rear brake plumbing combined with the common routing of both 'out' and 'back' lines between the vertical cylinder and it's exhaust compromise the function.
