Soooooo.... Thinking about buying a used harness for my s2r, hacking it up for the essential engine stuff while at the same time putting together a new system with motogadget stuff for controls and Bluetooth. Worth the effort? I really want to clean up the switch gear. Sent from my SM-N970U using Tapatalk

Very cool!
I'll probably be doing it at the end of this riding season (which hasn't even started yet!). Don't want to tear it apart just as it starts getting warm.
Where are you with your project? Did you do an actual wiring diagram or are you winging it?

Motor is rebuilt, tank cleaned and paint removed. Forks torn down. Since I have so much time during the apocalypse it’s moving fast Will do wiring last, probably 2 to 3 weeks from now I will make a diagram then a harness

Thanks all for providing feedback here!
I just got back in to another S2R 1000 after selling mine last spring in a temporary bout of insanity. But now I have both the GS and the Monster! The perfect duo!

Very nice looking bike.
Thanks, sir. I feel like I got super lucky finding this one. The one I "lost" last year was a Black 2006. This is a 2008 with some of the wish-I-had mods from my old bike! Pay no mind to the lack of brake lines in the photo; Galfer just dropped 'em off this week and they're on the bike now.

Great front end upgrade and clean overall style Thanks! PO did a lot of this. I recently made the switch back to full bars (from clip-ons) and redid the brake lines. Now the clutch slave is leaking though! Replacement already on the way. Failed initial inspection in MA because of the integrated blinkers in the back and have to fix that too. Still so cold though, don't mind working on it!

What is this inspection u speak of, lol I don’t think I’ve inspected a bike in 20 yrs, they all would fail. I don’t even do turn signals on the front
