Hello everyone.

My name is John, i live in Reykjavik Iceland. I work with Fire and rescue. Used to be an Audi mech/Tech. So used to timing belts and that stuff  Shots
Been riding for 26 years. Getting old Vino!
My first ride was a Cb100n. Owned a lot of bikes, both inline 4 and vtwins. Also a couple of two strokes Nsr400 and Rgv250 93mod. Lovley bikes. But the vtwins where my favorites.

2x suzuki Tl1000s
Ducati 851
Vtr1000sp1
Rsv1000 mille

And now i bought the Monster 696, lovley little bike. Now my wife can ride too, she did not like my big bikes, last one beeing the Gsx1400.
So thats me, any questions fire away.
 Cheers

Iceland was my first big Monster journey idea. Greatly inspired by Sigur Rós  waytogo bow down

Too difficult with the freight ship and the idea of mostly gravel killed it. Less gravel now?

Do you need to cover up the oil cooler? What's the spring/summer temp like?

Thank you everyone.
Less gravel now,  but still some roads.
Temprature this summer has been awsome, all the way up to 22degrees celcius.
We get between 10-17celcius wich is fine.
Dont need oil cooler, never gets that hot.

Love the bike but, getting never ending fuel ERROR.
Runs ok still so. Going to look at it in winter time.
Fun to ride.

I have covered the oil cooler on my 900's and 750 in our Australian winters.  I used special vinyl and cable ties but I'm planning to get a cover that velcro's on like my old Harley's Lockhart oil cooler. It's been getting down to -1/-2 here, but you sure need the oil cooler in summer!
