with selfconstructed luggage rack

« on: July 16, 2019, 04:26:31 AM »

I am 78 years old, and had driven motorcycles for around 50 years!
Many different brands and types, mostly veteran bikes, such as Royal Enfield 500 Competition, Moto Guzzis, Zigolo, Moto Guzzi 235cc, Moto Guzzi V50 - and racers: RUMI 125 Gentleman Earles, RUMI 125 Super Sport, MOTOBI 200cc Racer, 750cc Nimbus, 1000cc Harley Davidson Iron Head XLH.
Now, here in my old age, I bought myself a Ducati Monster 1000s from 2006 - my first Ducati ever...
So far I had driven the thing 1100 kilometers, and it had behaved fairly well, just with a few niggles, easily solved by myself.
Because I drive a lot in Europe, Germany, Poland & Italy, I am in a process of incorporating a socalled luggage rack, for my 60 litre softbag.
Not easy, because I cannot find a dedicated rack for my excact Monster model.

Welcome  waytogo

I'm from Norway and now on my tenth trip to Italy + alps + dolomites. 15 liters tail bag and two liters tank bag. I can't allow you to haul 60 liters on a Monster.  Dolph just can't  8.  Nevertheless: ventura is great.
