1000ds engine top end help

Hi everyone! I have a monster 1000 s2r dual spark motor. It came to me with no belts on it. I pulled the heads, lapped the valves after checking for straightness. reshimmed them. my question is this, the front horizontal cylinder had the gear removed for whatever reason. does it bolt on one way with no adjustment? it seams as though there are slots for adjustment. ive seen the videos on the belt installation from ducatitech, but they assume the belts were on the bike to start with. thanks for any help you can provide.

I'm pretty sure there's a thread here that will help you, my search came up short perhaps others can chime in.
DS1k came with adjustable pullies, those do need to be set.
