Oh really?

Well my leaking fork has turned out to be a bent/ovaled fork tube.

So unless Catalyst Reaction Suspension Tuning turns out to have a fork lay around their 675 parts bin, I'm out for this weekend.

So I have tickets for Saturday and Sunday at ButtonWillow with PTT ANY group. Name your price reasonable offers won't be refused.

Let me know I've posted this on several forums so please PM/Msg/Email if you're interested.

Paypal is preferred!

Just FYI, you can use the entire front end off a Kaw636. It will give you a slight bit more trail, but will be absolutely rock solid stable through the corners! Rob and I did the numbers on a 675/636 conversion @ Evolution, and it's almost a perfect direct swap!

Depending how bad the tube is warped, Rob may also be able to straighten it. I've seen him work miracles on pieces I would've tossed without a second thought. Give him a call!

Tickets sold.

you guys missed out, I took a fat hit on these.

Oh well my bike is now waiting to go off to GP Frame and Wheel... *sigh* Sad

For such a pathetic lowside I sure did mess up the bike... body work was fine though! lol

*EDIT*
DW13 That's a pretty interesting combination.. who knows if I get desperate enough I might have too!

I heard Rob was pretty booked up? Is that not the case?

I emailed him last night, what kind of schedule does it take to get in there? I'm really hoping to have it checked out and straightened by next weekend. I can swing by and pick yours up if you need a lift and he'll take my bike this weekend.

Yeah lowsided between Turn 14 and Turn 15 at T-Hill.

Yeah I'm fine, bike appeared fine, until I got home and started testing the fork for binding and sure enough:

Notice how the top cap is not aligned with the outer fork tube:

Then on the other side it is perfectly aligned:

It was totally not a panic, "Oh my gosh I'm going to crash" kind of incident. I was taking T14 just as I had all day but just a bit faster (2:16 lap time range). Then as I'm laid over my front end just starts to push and the bike starts sliding sideways and then I go down...

I slide off track get to the dirt and start rolling, then I land on my feet. My bike slides barely at all then rolled in the dirt at least one time.

I was running street compound tires that I wasn't used to so when I ran out of talent I didn't have any extra grip in my tires to back me up.

Hell usually say just drop it off, hell get to it. The first time i went to him i wasnt in a rush so he kept the bike for 2 months. This time its been 3 weeks. Just call him. My bike is already up there, I can drop yours off if you want to save the trip. Also he wants you to remove a few things to make it easier.
