My Monster searches often end up here so decided I better join and ask a few questions. Currently own Ducati (Cagiva) E900 Elefant and considering something more compact and agile. I am second owner since 1996 or so and bike was my only form of transportation for 2 years and never left me stranded. Considering a 2014 696 sight unseen from 1,000 miles away. Elefant is only Duc I have ever ridden so have no way to compare but the weight/HP numbers seem more to my liking on the 696. See you around...

Welcome!

You might want to consider a 796 ABS too as it has a single-sided swing arm, more BHP and torque, essentially an 1100 EVO chassis, and other better components for similar $$$.
