I always wonder how these races continue to happen when someone dies every year, if not multiple racers. This family and the mentality it takes to compete in this/these events puts into perspective. I guess it’s just part of the fabric of the spectacle of looking death in the face and saying, fvck it. That’s why we watch and root for these racers to beat the odds.
