If tank leaks at the rear where the upper & lower halves meet, 24 hour Araldit works.
Empty, dry, remove  paint, apply, wait 72 hours, done. FHE, over 10 years on mine now.

Thanks guys, I'll keep it all in mind for future consideration....... hopefully the tank issue is put to bed for at least a few years.  I'm told the alcohol in oxygenated gas works as a solvent and dissolves the tank coating. That's at about 5% strength? Maybe 100% strength would take it off fairly quick?    I'll just be bloody happy to get it back on the road and ride the hell out of it this season!

The 1100 Aero might spend most of the summer on the kickstand in the garage.

kok64, thanks for asking.     Well..... we had 15 inches of snow about 2 weeks ago, very unexpected death in the family [my best friend for 44 years] 1 week ago, sick doggie, etc. Everything came to a screeching halt. Just waiting on the Ohlins DU440 which should be here by today.  I'm thinking I'll pick the bike up next weekend if not sooner  [fingers crossed].  I believe the rear shock is the last piece of the puzzle before Anthony is done.  The temps are finally getting into the 60's and maybe even 70's next week!  We just had the most snow in April on record.  God, we're all ready for serious spring weather.

Thanks guys.  I hope this isn't against the rules of this discussion board.
This is a link to a video clip of my friend of 45 years, 24 of which he was able-bodied.  Brian was extremely amused at my search to get a second, go-faster, bike that brought me to the M900 AND the almost year long negotiation with my gal to give the blessing and buy it.   It's just life? .....  and I have great problems.

Hoping to get my hands on the S bike this week. The annual spring rides have started this weekend and the bikes are coming out en masse this weekend.

I picked up the reworked 900 with just enough time to ride it for the 30 minute trip home.  It's crazy how much better the bike felt just going over the freeway surface. My comfort is much improved. I can't wait to take it on a MUCH longer and more agressive ride to see how my sense of control feels.  Everything REALLY seems like it's coming together for this bike. It's taken a little over a year to get it to this point but well worth the journey.

Thanks everybody!   bow down
