Question on fairings and ecu

New to the forum
Looking for some help.  Can I put a fairings set from a 2014 796 on a 2010 696? 

Also I was going to buy some slip on exhaust.  I was told I need to reflash the ecu, how is this done or is there some other way of doing this?

about the fairing sets: download parts catalogs for both models and compare. Ducati.com -> menu -> dealers and services -> a.s.o.

ECU? Lots of people do without reprogramming because they only judge from perceived performance, are happy with the new sound and/or don't want any more hassle...
