Has anyone here done a digital guage swap (stock guage) to another digital guage (Motoscope mini)Huh?

I have a 2016 Ducati Monster 821, I bought the motoscope mini to swap out my stock guage with.  The motorcycle will not start without the original guage plugged in.  I am supplied with all the wires/accessories from moto gadget but this is not a simple plug & play mod.

Does anyone here have any experience with this in terms of wiring & anything else I would need to know that I may run into?

Thanks.

People reflash the ECU to remove the immobilizer function which frees the selection of gauges. There are quite a few threads here worth searching.
Sponsor Motowheels provides a reflash service.

My bike has a sport mode, urban mode & tour mode.  Will I lose the capability to switch between these modes without the stock gauge? or can still switch between the modes without the display on the moto-scope mini gauge?

 Huh?

No idea.  I wouldn't even attempt it.

I will keep you updated on my attempt and share the progress report once I've completed the guage swap.

Thanks,
