I like the look of the S4 oil cooler, but I was wondering if it was large enough to cool an S2R800?  It looks a little smaller than the stock 800 oil cooler, and while the S4 is obviously a bigger engine, it's water-cooled, so maybe it doesn't need as large an oil cooler?  I should mention that I'm currently running an S4Rs oil cooler mounted underneath the horizontal cylinder just like it is on the S4Rs.

What are your oil temps?

FWIW, the M695 is very similar to the S2R800 and the M695 did not include an oil cooler of any type.  A retrofit kit was available through Ducati.  I installed the kit on my M695 (the pieces can also be procured separately).  It helped prevent "spikey" oil temp behavior waiting at long red lights, etc.  I probably documented my findings somewhere here.

Without data, my own opinion is yeah sure it'll be fine - not a hyper-engineered or super-critical component.

S4 oil cooler? Trick question Grin

The S4R cooler, on the other hand, is nice.

What kind of temperatures are you seeing with the S4RS cooler?

S4Rs maybe?
I could be wrong but I thought S4 and S4R model bikes only came with water cooler.
It wasn't until the S4Rs that the bike included both water and oil cooler.
