I own a o6 monster 620 with Danmoto exhaust, open airbox with K&N filter, fast throttle cam , 14t front sprocket , 50 T rear sprocket. Has a power commander III with the first map installed (aftermarket exhaust stock air filter)Runs great.I have access  to a DP ECU for purchase . Would I realize any gains with this ECU, or should I stick with the PCIII?

I would put the money towards a dyno tune. waytogo
Maybe the DP ignition map is better. Darkmonster 620 or Speeddog might know.
Note too that the PC map may be calibrated for a stock ECU (which is why it works so well) and therefore need changing for the DP ECU.

DP ECU for better ignition map, then tune PC on dyno=best result.

Edit. If you get the DP ECU, the PCIII will best work with a new map designed for a DP ECU. Check out the Powercommander library or finish the job to perfection on a dyno. Checking the Powercommander library, I did not see any maps designated specifically for the DP ECU.

I had a PCIII on my S2R 800, pulled it off after a year when the tune went sideways.

DP ECU or Rexxer reflash is great.  sure, the PCIII will eek out a bit more power, but you arent racing so that doesn't really matter.  its not enough to miss.

Sent my ecu to David at Rexxer and provided him with all the details of my bike and upgrades and he flashed it beautifully. No jerking, no backfiring, no extra gas smell... nothing but pure excellence.
