Hey guys, my name is Chris and live in Richmond Texas which is near Houston.  I've been riding since my teens and bought my first street bike, Yamaha FZR600, more than twenty years ago.  I had been without a bike for a few years and couldn't stand it any longer (not getting any younger either)and started looking for bikes.  I came across a 2005 Ducati Monster 1000Sie with less than 6,000 miles on it with a price I couldn't pass up.  This is my first Ducati and it has been an absolute joy to ride.  Ducati first caught my attention with the 916 20 years ago or so and I have always been interested in owning a Ducati.  Since I am no longer the fast guy shredding corners and having his share of track days, I figured a Monster would fit my needs just fine and it has.  I have put about 1,000 miles on it so far and I grin from ear to ear after every ride.  Ive been lurking for some time here and this really is a knowledgeable group of folks.  See ya on the rode and keep the rubber side down!

Welcome from up the street! (Dallas)

Congrats on the Ducati... like you I've wanted a Ducati for something like 25 years but just assumed I couldn't afford one or that it would be too race-focused (or other lame excuse not to get one.)  And... like you... I grin every time I swing a leg over my Monster, it's just that fun to ride.

Welcome!

I had Japanese bikes (plus a few years with a grief stricken Norton) from age 11-41 before I got my Monster!

I'm proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks! 👍🏻
