Hello,
I'm getting a decent amount of backfire when decelerating. I have termi slip-ons. I understand that there is some backfiring expected but I feel like it's every time the rpm's drop. I know we all love the sound but it's a bit much for city riding with the echo off the building and all.

Any ideas how I can reduce this?

Which model do you have?
Exhaust leaks and incorrect AF ratio for the bikes modifications can cause bad back firing.

Check your valves.... (closers)closer to their tightest tolerance the quieter they become...when it's really really loud do a leakdown test...valve could be fried

AF ratio? It's a 2014 monster 1200s with 4K miles on it. Slip one with baffles.

Leak down test? I think I might need to take her in. This is starting to sound a little out of my expertise.

I wouldn't get too excited, just yet.

It's most likely a leak, combined with the ridiculously lean settings the stock ecu is running.

Check it for a leak and go from there.

Yep.  Combination of easy, cheap and most likely.  Plus no mention of misfire.
