ok so this is a compete noob question so feel free to laugh, i am on a waiting list to see a mechanic for the 7.5k service and don't want to leave it sitting like this for the next month when im sure there is a simple solution,.

ok so last week i removed the battery of my ducati monster 695 so i could test the battery at a local shop, my mechanic then recommend me to take of the valve covers and see what condition the belts were in.

to do these things i had to raise the fuel tank, when it game time to hook everything back and tidy up i noticed this particular hose that wasn't there before (im guessing when i raised the tank it slipped out?) and now i cant seem to find where it came from.

hoping you guys can help and i can just either reattach it or figure out what caused it, again sorry for the noob question, ive been trying to figure it out for the past couple of days using the service manual but i figured id come to the experts :)

i will attach pictures to see if you guys know where it came from, what its purpose is and where i should route/reattach it to, thanks in advance :)

Edit: cant figure out how to upload photos here is an imgur link:

Overflow line, I think - it doesn't attach to anything, it's there to release excess fuel if you overfill the tank.  If you still have your emissions canister, check to see if it's hooked up, as it could be that as well.
