How do I test the ignition control units?

Not getting spark on either plug. Probably has more to do with fault in my installation of the touch switches for my start and run/kill. However I would still like to learn how to test the igniter units to rule them out.

Important: always check your battery filter and regularly change your headlight fluid.

There's a chart in the Hayne' s book
and you need a multimeter to test it
