Rear seats...in for the 18th time. So....permanently for the 17th time.

Rear carpet, too.

On the driver's side I thought I'd be bold and install the lock cylinder before the door panel.....Unlike what I did on the passenger side. Foresight my friends. It's only taken 40 some years to get to this point.......the point at which my mental decline will offset the knowledge built up over decades. Time is a cruel mistress.

Apparently the bit that holds it in goes where the weatherstrip that I already installed is. I had to remove the weatherstrip and restick it, which is what the yellow tape is doing.

And....door panel.

Looking sweet. All kinds of goodness, but I’m digging the door lock.  Cool

That’s OE.

Also: Dave, I remember putting a heater core in it while I owned it...  Weird how few years it lasted.

That's what I meant waytogo. They really did nice aesthetic stuff back in the day. Maybe why we love Ducatis so much. I was just looking at the oem Brembo wheels on my 750 the other day and really liked the contours of the rim and hub.

The core looks good.

No seals in the heater box so it was drafty.

Replacement core didn’t come with seals...

 waytogo Progress.

Isn't it fun how the holes for the heater hoses in the firewall are almost exactly the same diameter as the hoses you feed through them?  Tongue Gotta love '60s Fords.

I know, right? Ruined your seemingly endless streak of having bought me all the parts I needed.

Not too late though! Money can be sent to....

All the modern day comforts of charging your phone and listening to your own tunes.

Mass wants backup lights. I thoughtfully removed the stockers (if it had them-I don't recall) with no plan to the future.

Some cheap LEDs later....

Brackets:

Reassembled the heater:

It can go in tomorrow after the paint on the interior side of the firewall dries (it was rusty behind the heater).

I put the rear bumper to body seal in place and finalized the rear bumper.

Exhaust is re-hung.

Fuel line re-secured.

Mounted an electric switch for the brake lights by the pedal as those old hydraulic switches suck and the one it had was broken.

‘62 standard model Falcon wouldn’t (& didn’t) have reverse lamps.
