Ah you found (had) the inserts - very good.

Commute riding will kill the center of tires, just is. No FHE on them, but some folks I know *love* the Pirelli Angels. They should hold up better for commute duty and still provide quite good grip when not commuting  Dolph

Oh yeah, i've highway'd all my previous tires. Kinda surprised how quick though. But then again, i've put 700 miles on it in two weeks... Cheesy

I had to order the inserts from PJ's. But they were worth it!!

i will probably replace these tires with Michelin Road 4's. More of a touring tire, but i should get 20k out of them. I've got 15k out of my Anakee 3's on my Vstrom, with plenty left to go and that bike is 100lbs heavier. Road 4's also have the dual compound technology that the Anakee 3's have.

Pjs parts... good folks. Store site's a little clunky, but they are cool to deal with. PJ helped me find some special bits and unusual stuff for a project.  waytogo

Yeah they are. Really friendly.

"Artsy" pic of the Monster waiting for the ride home while I loaded a truck:

Ordered my Pilot Road 4's today. Will mount them eventually. Front tire is dry rotted and cracking. Only a matter of time till it blows on me and the rear is getting worn anyways. Sad

Haha. Yes. Looking at the weather next week, I won't want to ride much anyways so might as well do it some time next week. Tires will be here the 6th. Stands on the other hand, may not be delivered until the 8th.. Sad

I can ride the Vstrom in the mean time. Didn't ride today because i've got a cold. Sad DAMN IT'S SO NICE OUT!!   bang head

I fold, but hopefully my cheap Chinese stands don't while i'm at work! Hahaha. "Ducati red" for $55 shipped for the pair. Work well enough. Bike seems really stable.
