I have read some of the reviews on the new LED headlight harley is offering on their 2014 bikes & it seams to have great light output. Harley offers it as a stand alone part for retrofit into older modles at a fairley reasonable price. http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/led-headlamp-pa-11-7339010--1If you can live with your light saying Harley Davidson on the lense this may be a great lighting upgrade to those wanting to keep a 7" round headlight on the monster but with much increased light output.

My friend has one on his sporty and that thing is super bright. Wish I could do that but right now I'm going to spend my money on heated gear this year.

Aren't Monster headlights 7 7/8" or something weird like that though? So it would require the Harley bucket as well, and the bending of the "ears" to fit.

Its around 7.5". Im sure if worse came to worse an SV650 bucket could be used with some spacers. There are 2 versions that look like they use the same base headlamp, 1 has an extra adapter ring. I am thinking about ordering it to see if I can make it work.

You can have this in black and without the HD writing. http://www.jwspeaker.com/products/headlights/#product=500249J.W.Speaker offered a Monster bucket mounting kit a while ago - maybe still... I've seen the comparison between stock and typical xenon and they are way better

Motowheels sells adapter kits for 7" headlights. Haven't installed mine yet (nor found a 7" lense I want). http://motowheels.com/i-13578432-motowheels-headlight-conversion-kit-ring-only.htmlThey also offer a complete 7" headlight kit.

Any first hand experience with these? I am leaning towards giving the black one a try as it should off much better lighting with out changing the looks of the monster too much. It is strange the J.W.Speaker version lists as being high beam only

8700 Evolution is high/low beam (plus the side lights).

My favorite part of that listing is that the green wire = earth.

I like the 1st bike they show it mounted on, looks like a Suzuki GT750 water buffalo 2 stroke in a bandit frame. I decided to order the 8700 in black this weekend. Once it gets here I'll figure out if I am going to run the motowheels adapter in the bucket or swap to a SV650 bucket, will prob install a voltage regulator flip kit at the same time to try to keep my 10 year old regulator from cooking.

I don't have personal experience with that JW/HD LED headlight but for the cost I would think it would have more than 1410 lumens of output? My little Q2 LED headlight puts out over twice the lumen output @3030.

My favorite part of that listing is that the green wire = earth. That is apparently a Honda thing. The wife's bike has green earths at the fuse box/headlight/cluster.

JW Speaker manufactures that for Harley, it is the exact same thing.
I have the knock off listed in that eBay ad and I love it. Bright as f*k, was easy to install, and has given me no problems. The plastic bucket is a little cheesy...but it was $100. When I upgrade my bike I will prob shell out for the JWS and use a generic bottom mount bucket + the billet clamp Motowheels sells which attaches to the upper triple.

Hi, the HD light looks pretty much the same as the one on my M1100 http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=205.msg1096425#msg1096425Although I suspect it may be a higher power than the one I am running... would be interested to find out the specifications for the light... I have posted on mine in the past where I think the low beam is pretty good, maybe even better than pretty good but the high beam is lacking a little... had mine for a couple of years without any problems at all... bought it as a kit from JW speaker, they were great to deal with.
