   2019

After a make the beast with two backsing stubborn rain storm through Germany, most of the first day's 750km. On a Friday in July. On the autobahn. Not boring! I reached Baden-Baden, a spa town on the edge of the famous riding area Schwarzwald. Found my hotel and got served a tender steak and a bottle of red. Poor hotel hair dryer working overtime to dry out my boots and gloves.

You can google the road 500 through Schwarzwald. More or less like this for 300km

East of the eastern end of Vierwaldstättersee - Luzern at the other end

The Devil's bridge, Teufelsbrücke into Andermatt. Must have been quite easy to defend?

German couple in a British car, at the Drei Könige Post Hotel in Andermatt. It really is easier to connect with people as a solo traveller

Relaxing and easier riding east of Andermatt and Oberalp

Later same day into late medieval town of Glorenza. Very small town, but heavy walls....  Nice to see how they use the old structures in new houses/offices...

This year, a wet Stelvio. Oh well

Stelvio, Bormio and then Gavia pass

South of Bologna / north of Firenze. This is why they become good riders  Cool

Separate thread about the factory museum and the behind a gas station museum

My dear town Castel del Rio again  Smiley

On my way north to Cortina, another milestone (lucky number seven)

Cortina life

(because there's a MTB race here)

I wondered why and later found of because there was a tornado. HIGHLY unusual

Sella

Giau

Jaufen

Timmelsjoch

Bye bye

I've changed to separate threads each year. More or less...

This is 2020  https://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=78329.0

... and 2022  https://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=79375.new#new

Search "Alps" if you want more  Dolph
