Just wanted to say I feel ya.

I'm 42yrs old now, can definitely say if matured as a rider. When I was younger I "occasionally" rode too fast, and/or like a jackass. I'd been away from riding for about 6yrs - my wife guilted me into selling my Suzuki TL1000R shortly after my second son was born. But she finally got tired of hearing me piss and moan about how much I miss my bike, when we'd see a group of riders. So I sold her on the idea of letting me pick up a M1100 this spring.

I gotta say, the first few weeks were a pretty steep re-learning curve. I'm sure I had white knuckles the first time I got on the interstate here in SA.

As mentioned, check/replace tyres, and also steering head bearings can make a bike feel awful, worth a look before you do something rash and give it all away !!

My 2 cents, don't do anything rash until you've ridden on a warm sunny day with a good set of tyres on your favourite corners that you grew up on..
