So I'm finally moving back to the states and back to my second home, San Diego County. Can't wait to get back, was hoping to meet some active riders. I'll be back starting in March/April and would like to meet up with some loacals. Haven't sent much time in SoCal since about 2004.

palomar is typically crawling with cops ... in response to the
ongoing conflict between the squids and the people who live up there.
montezuma grade is nice if you don't mind going all the way out to borrego.

Just got my first road bike, would settle for nothing less than a duc. Fairly new to street riding, grew up on dirt bikes But I'm looking for some people to ride with and learn some stuff from. Also looking for people Who would know where to get parts and stuff locally besides gp or forza...

Well, All settled in now. Working in San Diego (Naval Hospital) but living in San Juan Capistrano. Bike is going to be registered next weekend (stupid AZ and they're no pro-rated registration). Can't wait to start commuting on the bike and not pay $150-175 a week in gas!

SJC is nice. Go hit Sonny's Pizza and Pasta in San Clemente when you get the chance. Local hole in the wall with great pasta.

Across the street from Balboa park, yeah.

wow that's a hell of a commute.

my parents live in Northpark/Burlingame, over by 30th & Redwood.  I know you didn't ask but there's a couple really good restaurants there if you're stuck in town or something.  Station Tavern and Mazara Italian.  Tiger Tiger up on El Cajon is damn good too.

In SJC, I'm a big fan of El Campeon on Camino Capistrano and Del Obispo.  Helps if you habla the espanol, but they dont mind gringos.  It's a counter order type place, so don't expect much on the customer service side.

GP Motorcycles is off the 5, near Washington if you ever need to kill some time on the way home.
Annual membership to the Zoo is pretty cheap too (and a tax write off).

welcome back to civilization Wink

I used to live in North Park quite a few years ago. Near 30th...

I know where GP "used" to be, but it's not there anymore. What exit is it off of?

As far as the Zoo, went this past weekend. Always free for military with ID waytogo
