My new to me 2001 M750 is just reaching the need for her 6,000 mile servicing. While reading over the board here I am now not sure where I should bring her for service. The previous owner had serviced at Dunbar, but when I got new tires and the inspection sticker done there, I did not get the best feeling from the manager there and was not able to chat with the service guy.

I was looking at service with Cycle 128 as there were terrific comments on the service guys who came from Eastern. I did not see any recent comments on the thread and everyone seems to be less than pleased with dealing with the folks at Cycles in general, service guys aside.

I am near Dedham and don’t mind a little bit of a ride, but was hoping to not have to go as far as NH.

Is there any opinion on Andersen Cycle Works, Wagner Motorsports in Worcester (my home town) or maybe Razee in Rhode Island?

Again, I would welcome a ride to a good service place, but was hoping to not have to go out of state.

Thanks, and yes, I am a noob.  waytogo

I would HIGHLY reccomend going to an independant mechanic.  There's a few *great* closer ones than Eric, if you don't want to venture too far.  Shoot me a PM.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. Eric sounds like the man, and I wouldn't mind heading up to visit him some day. I am hoping to build a relationship with someone local however, if there is someone around.
DesmoTull, PM sent.

Thanks again all.

why not do the 6k maintenance yourself? Plenty of video's on the inet, plus this book http://www.desmotimes.com/ does a great job of splanning the ins and outs.

I get my work done at Riverside in Somerville as I don't want to travel to far (especially if I have to leave the bike).  It's not cheap, but I'm guessing that's par for the course with a Ducati.

It doesn't have to be expensive!  Desmotimes holds the secrets!   chug
