Any of you half-dirty guys have any experience with Avon Trailriders or Shinko 705s?

Edit: OK found some info on the Shinkos.

I haven't run the 705s but I think for the money they're probably just fine. If I get the opportunity I plan to try them.

I have a set of Shinko 705s on my XR650L.  They're great on the street and you can't beat the price.  I bought a pair of them for $108 shipped to my door.

One of these days I'll try them in the dirt and would be able to report on them there.

Put them on at DIMBY 2016 (NH) and road all the way to Colombia with the front.  Rear I had to swap in Guadalajara, but as fortune would have it they local dealer had one 705 rear left so I got to keep the same setup.

I really like them and they have been perfect for 75/25 riding I've been doing.  Handled fined when I got in sticky stuff off-road, were good on asphalt even in the rain.  Obviously, they aren't anywhere as good as a full knobby or a full road tire, but from all the dual-purpose tires I've used they remain my hands down favorite so far.  Durable too.  My TKC80 front only lasted half as long as my 705 front, although some of that may be related to riding conditions.

That's only a 10 hr flight.

10 hrs isn't very good tire life 0/10 would not recommend this tire laughingdp

In reality that's, what, 5-6000 miles?

Yeah, like 6000 rear and 10000 front.

Better than any mileage I've EVER gotten.
