Can you replace the wires on the black, cylindrical coils?

I was looking at the ones on my wife's 2001 M900ie and I really couldn't tell if the wires are removeable. I didn't want to force the wire out, so I figured I'd ask on here before I destroyed something. The coils look like these...

pull the boot up at the base.  they will either snap in or be permanently mounted.. usually with a boot like that they ar snapped in tho

alternatively, check the parts catalogue for that model.  if they are separate parts it will be shown as an assembly or as separate

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

They twist on. I've replaced mine. With the wire removed you'll see a screw like projection that you'd thread new wires on to.

Just slide up that rubber boot and turn counter clockwise.

Cool. That is how the boots are held onto the wires of my GSXR. Thanks!
