I have a '06 S2R1000
full Arrows
Rapid bike 3 ECU piggyback
Rapid bike oxygen sensor emulator
K&N performance air filter with open box.

The bike has been running rich especially on the rear cylinder .
Just came from the Dyno down on ponies  boo
Running rough as guts down low and eating fuel like a 4V  laughingdp

My problem is compounded by not having the software or cables to attach to
the Rapid for a re-tune,
and now that the supplier in Australia does not sell them he no longer
has the tools . I'm stuck.

I have been suggested the Ducati performance ECU = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
My LBS who Dynoed solution is to remove the Rapid  and replace with
Power commander 3 plus a Fatduck

The advantage of using him is he is 5 minutes away as apposed to two hour round
trip to the Ducati specialist who will pretty much do the same thing anyway.

Is the PC3 etc the way to go ?
Any educated opinions would be thankfully received .

have you tried foster performance in NY? I had a RB3. That thing sucked/was awesome when it worked/didnt work.

Got rid of it. its a great system...just not for ducatis. wasnt it just a USB cable that connected it?

Lose the RB, send your stock ECU out to get reprogrammed to DP full race system. Simpler and better solution than PC3 + Fatduc. May even be cheaper.

reprogram isnt as good as a custom map. you can run a PC3 with an S2R1000 without DP ECU. there is a way to do it.

UPDATE
Okay so I have done a shit load of reading and asking advice here locally from the Ducati people.
I am going to ditch the RB3 . The ECU re flash is hit and miss with many creating bigger problems
My Ducati local did not recommend it

I have just picked up a DP race ECU from over in your neck of the woods
Desmo Porsche for a bargain compared to the quote locally Shocked

$1800 cash up front then a three month wait from Italy thanks but no thanks .
With the Aussie dollar being so strong ATM $480AUS delivered thank you very much
bow down  dang God save America Grin

My local Ducati dealer said try it with just the DP ECU  in his opinion should run close to perfect
if not I have a local race bike expert that can add a power commander later , he does his own maps for each cylinder custom tunes the bike and will sort it.

Now can anyone tell what to be care full of when removing the piggy back RB3 and emulator and its harness?
Is it disconect battery just follow the leads and disconnect or are there potential problems?

Anyone removed one themselves?

Your help would be gratefully accepted  chug

desmoporches reflash is the way to go. i have said it multiple times.

They did my ecu and i stuck it with an arrow full system and a beast r intake. my mechanic tuned it and it hauls ass. I have yet to have a problem with my s2r1000. All the other options like PC and your RB3 stuff is garbage IMO. Its unnecessary and ive heard too many people not happy with it. My mech told me too that if i wanted, i could get a big bore kit or a hopped up cam and the ecu and exhaust and intake would handle it just fine..... My mech said he likes PC for more fine tuning but thats about it...

just make sure you dont destroy those clips that connect to the injectors. Also one of the wires is clipped into you TPS. Dont break the TPS wire. also dont mix up the injector wires, do them one that a time. other then that, its not that hard.
