I've got a 14T front sprocket that needs a new home. IIRC it fits a 2009+ M696, but it might be for a S2R1000. Or, maybe, I planned a 520 conversion on one of those 2 bikes... Can't recall for sure.

Free. I don't want to throw it out. Here's a pic in packaging...

Anyone interested in stock forks/triples and a wheel set from an '06 Sport1000?  Forks were resprung with race tech (I think) springs.  Got the fancy pants orange front fender to go with it.

It will be interesting to see if this bike hits its $8350 asking price: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ducati-750-Sport-/272130659938?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3f5c405662:g:GYsAAOSwll1WvDve&item=272130659938

On one hand that seems like a lot of money when a 5 year newer 900ss can go for half the money, but in my opinion this is one of the most gorgeous Ducs ever and its limited numbers make it a true collectible.

Listing has now ended; no sale indicated though.  I was always partial to the TT-750F1 series and the 1991-1998 SS's for styling, but there's no disputing that the 1999~2006 Supersports were functionally the best.   And they can be had for a song.

No doubt the entire series of TT bikes (TT1, TT2 and TT750F1) are beautiful bikes and undisputed classics. They have been priced as such for a while now.

The 750 Sport doesn't have the racing heritage of the TT bikes, but to my eyes, the lines flow better and it's simply a prettier bike. I am also a fan of the 90s Supersports, but again, the details of the 750 Sport just seem a bit more "right" to me; particularly the tank and rear panels. I'm also a big fan of the paint job, which to my eye is a nice evolution of that on the TT750F1 Montjuich.

I see the 750 Sport as a transition bike for Ducati. It existed in that small space between the hard-edged air-cooled pantahs racebikes of the previous generation and the more practical desmodue roadbikes that were to come later in the decade (Supersports and Monsters). As such, I think it is an under-appreciated classic.

There's a nice 750F1 for sale on Bevel Heaven: http://bevelheaven.com/bikes4sale/MT-750F1/index.htm

It's a beautiful bike and as an original bike at $21K it almost seems like a bargain compared to a nice restored bevel head supersport. Still, it's ~2.5x the price of the 750 Sport posted. From a collector/investment standpoint, no doubt the F1 is the bike. If you're just looking for a piece of eye candy that can be ridden and give you the same sensations, the 750 Sport looks very attractive.

Just in case anyone wondered, I have NO relation to the seller. Grin

Yeah, the TT series bikes represent the one glaring hole in my personal Ducati desiring/owning history.  Destined to remain that way, I'm afraid; at the current prices, I'll never own one.  Of course, I may someday build my own replica of the Verlicchi framed original!

The early 90s 900 Supersports with the white frames and Cagiva font are gorgeous. This one is in Maryland. It has a lot of non-original parts, but looks extra nice with the Superlight tailpiece and has no reserve. The tank dent is a bummer:

And sold for $3,701 with 28k miles on it.   I'd say the seller did well.

$3700 for a bike with a lot of non-original parts and a damaged tank is a bit high, but '92 Supersports aren't that easy to find, so it's not that crazy. If it was a later TPG era bike, it might have struggled to get to $3K.

That tank dent could be repaired without much effort.  The carbs, the ported heads, and the forks should have put that bike in the $4000 or so range.

Plenty of these bikes are selling upwards of 4000-6000 depending on condition.

They are only getting rarer as they are being parted out by whatsisface in Florida.  He just parted out a near-mint SP.

I think this one spooked people because of the age and the dent.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

If you've always wanted a Paso, this is about as cheap as it gets for a running example with all of the bodywork clean and intact. It's a 907ie, so 17" wheels make life a little easier as well. The market for these isn't huge, but to me, $2500 is cheap, even for the high mileage:
