hey, how do you pose something so that you can have such a "blank" background - and still have the 'floor shadows' but no sidestand or other type of stands, and it doesn't look like hell around the edges?

top and side illumination boxes and a small rear swingarm stand.

You just shop out the stand and background - use a nice green screen type floor and background ?

I could make my bike so look much nicer if I wasn't taking pics of it in an alley or garage....

This guy is selling over 100 Ducatis at an auction in Monaco.  He actually at least four of these 750 race bikes.
