All the Ducati's made the 1290SDR possible!

It's all interesting but I'm still a ways off from doing anything.  I'd add the height back to the 675. Maybe lowering the tail only 1" would slow the steering down a bit. Dunno. BTW, what style bike is Michael looking for?

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

He doesn't seem to really know.  I almost imagine him going back and getting another Harley, but who knows.  I do think he would get a Monster if he stumbled across the right one though...

LOL!  That isn't what I was getting at.  He had been looking at a few that were posted on CL, but they all wanted more money than he wanted to dish out...

The 900 SS guy is completely crackers, even if that was the last year they were made and he doesn't even mention that fact. There is/was one on eBay today that was punched out to 944 and was set up with FCR-41's and lots of other goodies. It'll be had for less than what that guy is dreaming about.

The old Honda doesn't look so bad but you have to stop and consider that there was nothing special about them even when they were new. I know. For three years I assembled every new one of them that were sold on this island. They were the "poor man's 750" except that they were disappointingly down on power and didn't have any handling going for them either. They were smooth though and at the time they made a neat noise. Now that noise is commonplace and the I4's today sound far meaner than the CB500F could ever dream of.  The aftermarket parts didn't help much in the power dept. even with full Yoshimura kits. Hugely expensive for the return.

Michael took his R6 off Craigslist. What's up? Did he sell it?

Yep.  He was just over here and he told me that it sold today.  Someone came and gave him the $6G he was looking for...
