Mostly the secondary roads, and the on/off ramps. Highway was dry.

The Blizzard of 2022 didn't happen here. We got maybe 3 inches. It's hard to tell because the snow is so fine, and it's still blowing around.

Summer here in Melbourne has been strangely tropical. It got to 100F at my place with rain showers the other day. Most days have rain and temps in the 90's. We have had a cool change into the 80's but the humidity is terrible and smashes you after a days work. I normally love the heat when its dry, but this equatorial stuff is stifling. Our normally long suffering and withered baby banana tree has exploded into growth! laughingdp

Not yet and probably never. It was a gift and I'm amazed it's still alive but boy has it flourished lately with our tropical weather. I'm wrecked after a day on the workshop.

If the banana tree (technically plant) is one of the smaller species you can bring it in during cooler weather.  Whatever the size winter will kill it.

Yep. It suffers in winter and becomes black and shriveled. It has quite extravagant foliage now.
It's so humid its like the wet season up north with rain, floods and thunderstorms, but no cool change. There is little evaporation with puddles persisting in the heat and then there's that need to wear as little as possible. Up there in the far north they call it the silly season because people go nuts and misbehave.

It's tough tuning motors at present.

?So, you moved to Panama and didn't call? See, I live with this all year round, 10 months of rain every or almost every day and 2 months of no rain or an occasional rain shower to remind us where we are ... Do not complain

The humidity there must drive you crazy. It saps my energy.  The dry desert heat of my home town isn't a problem even at 100+ compared to this weather. We would get a week in the 40's C and the road edges would go soft, but the air was nice and dry.

Specially when riding my bicycle ... Extra humid days are my nemesis ... I finish beaten feeling ground to a pulp ... Hot days, not so much, just know that I can only carry 2 bottles and need to know where convenience stores are to be able to purchase water to mix my electrolytes

Apparently there is a winter storm heading to Texas soon.

I got an email from my ISP advising that there may be outages due to the storm.  Some of the roadways have been pre-treated.

Hoping that the natural gas and electricity providers got the memo this year.  Roll Eyes

I was lucky to not lose either in last year's storm.  I'm guessing the major hospital about 1 mile away via crow meant I was on the same grid?
