I installed a Barnett clutch kit last fall in my 00 m750.  Other than not being able to find neutral when stopped, it really grabs nicely.  The other concern I have is the increased pressure felt at the lever.  Is this normal when going to an aftermarket clutch?  I really don't want to buy an aftermarket clutch slave just to fix this issue caused by the Barnett clutch.  The only part that wasn't replaced was the clutch spring bolts.  I have 2000 miles on the bike since replacing the clutch, and the heavy lever pull is the only issue I have run into.

Thoughts? drink

You could try the old springs, see how they feel.
But first check 'em to see if they're still within the spec height.

If the clutch doesn't slip with the old ones in, I think it'll be fine.

A bit of a messy experiment, but if you do it at an oil change, it's not so bad.
