I'm gone for a couple of hours this afternoon and my dad decides the oven/stove doesn't work.

He knows and has admitted he has a hard time fixing things like he used to but forgets that he can't fix things like he used to.   bang head laughingdp

Tools EVERYWHERE in the kitchen, stove pulled into center of it, still connected to gas and power and trying to remove the back panel.

"You want some help"

"No, i've got it"

I go message my sisters about this new project.  One sister said he did this last winter.  Got a repair person out and it was user error, not the stove that was the issue.

Back to the kitchen I go, ask again if he wants another set of 20/20 eyes on the screws he's trying to remove w/the wrong tool and accepts it.   Ask him if he knows about circuit boards (he doesn't, says yes), but I successfully get him to stop the process and agree we'll call for repair on Monday since whatever he monkeyed with shows now that the stove doesn't work (but maybe, just maybe it did fail this time...IDK).   He had also made a special trip to town to buy (another) socket set b/c he didn't think he had the right ones (he did).

Ugh.  Old age stuff.   But maybe it's not so bad as an acquaintance I know who's mother keeps throwing sticks of butter on the floor every day for their cats.    laughingdp

In today's exciting news, I shoveled out a race track in the back yard similar to Road America's for the dog.

He's still going off course but I think he'll get the hang of it.

Morning Ducatters  coffee

First day I've woken at a normal time after a normal nights' sleep for a month, seems like I'm on the mend  waytogo

Still hearing (and feeling) the diesel generator 24/7 though  Undecided

What's with the generator? Did I miss something?

It's my imaginary 'generator' noise.  I (apparently) generate it internally, nobody else but me hears it nor feels it's vibes.   It's like sleeping above the ship's engine room some nights.

Quack says: Antibiotics  (maybe my foreign body isn't accustomed to the local bug strains).
