coffee coffee  I never had any issues with the HOA in my old condo. Could be because I was on the board and ended my 3 year term as president  laughingdp

We ruled with an iron fist, fined the heck out of rule violators, but were fare and left the ones that did not do anything stupid alone.  Our biggest issue was that we had a rental cap, no more than 20%, units rented at a time. We did an audit of the building and found a lot more units being rented. We were sued (we won), got death threats, and mostly thanked by those that followed the rules.

I would never live in one again. They do make sense for condo's though.

It's an odd situation.  Developer offices out of half of one floor, owns one unit and it allegedly having relations with another owner, who happens to be on the board.  Since the building is still new, one of the developer's employees is the President of the HOA (common practice, initially).  Besides the noise issue from the gym, there are other maintenance issues, communication concerns and lack of financial reporting.

In other news, thunderstorms and heavy rain woke me up at 4:30AM.  Temps dropped 30+ degrees overnight.

VC with the mothership on an oil filter issue tonight.

I knew that would likely irritate you.   Wink    I enjoy it (the vodka, not irritating friends) though.

Made coffee for the first time since... December?   Although I've had a few cups on the road.  It's as good as I remember.

I don't disagree that HOA's are needed but some are run well, others, not so much – just like any other business.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.
