I'm here too!

We've had some beautiful days up this way...shame your bike is getting shaken!

Hi There,

Yes really nice weather, actually I took my bike into the shop today. Its gonna cost over 160,000 Yen for 2 year service and shaken.

Spent the rest of today helping my friend with his 996S suspension. He purchased the bike second hand.

I have never seen anything so out of wack. Full preload on the front and reduced preload with 0 damping on the back. I guess the previous owner was trying to raise the front so he didn't have so much weight on his wrists around town. My friend has been complaining about the handling (and falling off) since he brought the thing last year. We returned the settings to default and raised the rear ride height by a couple of cms to get it to turn. Just baseline until we can actually get some spirited riding done and make some further changes. He said it felt much better!

Actually finding the standard settings to use was a challenge by itself for an 8 year old bike!!

But a constructive day!

I will likely be free for a ride weekend of June 7th-8th if the weather is nice! Maybe see you then?

I actually have a golf tourney that weekend...and with the end of the school year approaching fast, that means stacks of paperwork to complete for the outgoing students.

Maybe the next week could be better for me, pending the weather.

Speaking of setup, I may ask for your input as far as mine goes to getting it back to stock.
