what would you pay for the above bike?  NADA doesn't show back to 1996.  It looks clean.

http://www.kbb.com/kbb/OtherVehicles/PricingReport.aspx?VehicleId=67097&VehicleClass=Motorcycle&PriceType=Retail&ManufacturerId=150&YearId=1996

that's the link for the SP...just shy of $4600 (i'm assuming it's not a CR?)  and you're "allowed" over 43,000 miles...

Interesting... looks nice from the pics. I know one thing for sure. With those D&D cans everyone would hear you coming. Since Alan left we really don't have any seriously loud bikes in the group. laughingdp You know, the "set off all the car alarms in the parking lot" kind of loud. I think you need that bike. waytogo

It has rash on the left side fairing... boogering up the decals -so a touch-up paintjob will not work.  Sad
It has the non-adjustable and pretty crappy CR font forks.
It has the (non-desireable) steel swingarm.

My max bid would be $3000.

 laughingdp  Nice.

I really like the looks of this SS but I tend to agree about the 3 grand max, OTD.  I think there's some saying about the buyer of any used bike needing to be prepared to spend at least 25% of the purchase price just on the initial maintenance costs of getting the thing running reliably.  Not sure if that applies to every  used bike but I can say from experience that it has been spot on with 99% of the old sports cars we've had the misfortune joy of owning  bang head

Good luck with your negotiations  [moto]
