The trick coming back down is to land on the downslope.  He almost went too far and just about landed on the flat.  That's probably where he messed his thumb up.   waytogo applause  That's alright.  I've been banned from Vegas.  Maybe I'll work on the the Rio Grand Gorge outside of Taos.   Evil

All I know is that I think I experienced my first hot flash when he started circling to go down.  Made me woozy.   laughingdp

Great observation....that's the first thing that came to mind when I watched his path..all he had to do is stay in his lane. Luckily he survived with serious injuries...safety gear is required by law.

Ouch! Yeah, I'd definitely agree he had an oh, shit moment and it paralyzed him right into the car. Kowboy.... exactly my thoughts about the landing as well. In the slow-mo replay you can see him almost get thrown over the bars when the front-end slams down.

Damn.  I had to respond to a bike vs car accident when I was in England, right off base.  Spanish national t-boned a little brit car at speed.  Went through the car and took off the driver's noggin on his way out.  Not a good day.

I was fascinated by that video.  I watched it several times as it is very similar to my November 2007 accident.  I had a median on my left as the option.  I always wondered what my bike did after the impact and this is as close as I can imagine.  Also, his flight over the car was exactly what I did, with the exception of the landing.  I landed flat on my back.     Ouch!!!   Glad he survived.
