Are they arguing with each other? or are the female voices submitting to the incessant demands of the male voice?

In narcissistic personality disorders it is the conflict/dilemma of being in love with someone who hates you...all inside your very own skull...an unrequited romance between the ego and the self....

you must put on your greasiest sleeveless teeshirt and beat your inner-pregnant dog into submission if she is acting uppity

La Dispute's last album "Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair"  hardcore, prog, tuneful noodleing, priestish no distortion riffing here-and-there, poetry, optimism, a 12 minute song w/ no silence,  etc... all wrapped up in a cohesive relevant sound/ message.

forget he sounds like Tom Green and try not to think of the expression "screEMO" and give it a whirl.

the scorcher that drew me in
"Damaged Goods"

At the end of every day
I lie awake at night and wait
To feel the wires of my brain
get cut and quietly rearranged,
and Hear my beaten heart exclaim,
"Still, I refuse to let her go."

La dispute - damaged goods With lyrics

... and kept me there w/ stuff like

Bury Your flame
La Dispute - Bury your Flame (6)

Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In) - Kenny Rogers
Early Psychedelia.

I saw Kenny and the 1st Edition do that song at Valley Dale in Columbus, Ohio sometime in the late '60's I'm thinking.
