Saw Old Crow Medicine Show play last night. They're absolutely fantastic live, and I highly recommend catching them if you get the chance.
Never knew they were that big around New Orleans. The House of Blues was completely packed, and the crowd was  fired up. 500 people singing "Wagon Wheel"  applause

Some wonderful soul posted some " LIVE " Tim Buckley on You Tube . My all time favorite singer/ songwriter. He came to prominence in the late 60s, early 70s. ( Jeff Buckley's  Father ) .

Tim died when he was in his late 20s of a drug overdose and his son Jeff , a Singer /Songwriter died when he was 30. . Jeff drowned in the Mississippi River.

Until very recently , only a couple of " live " recordings by Tim were ever on You Tube . Some legal thing where some company owns the rights to his material and wouldn't let it be shown anywhere.

Some how this " Live " music was recorded in Holland and may not be subject to the legalese of the US Co.    Dolph      Smiley

Barney Kessel taught himself how to play guitar.

I'm amazed this stuff was around in 1959.    bow down

I'm pissed I missed OCMS when they came through Flagstaff last year.  bang head

At the moment, I'm stuck -- badly stuck, as in hitting replay over and over -- on Graham Parker:

Bowie (and Eno) wrote the German version of Heroes / Helden and released it with the original Heroes single.  He usually sang it in concerts alternating in English, French, and German, but released Helden in only German.

Very cool version though
