Title: Making the 796 to 1100 rearset change... question Post by: Charlie98 on May 08, 2016, 05:32:19 PM I've got a set of 1100Evo rearsets I'm fixing to swap onto my 796, the only part I have a question on is the rear brake actuator rod... they are 2 different parts between the 796 and the Evo. Does anyone know if it's a big enough difference to justify the $32 part? ...or, in lieu of that, if you could measure your 1100Evo rod and I can check mine...

Wait for the experts to comment on that brake linkage. Seem to recall they are touchy and it gets ugly if you screw up..., but I plead Halfsheimers. ;) BTW, ever get your front brakes working? The riding (footpeg) position is nearly identical far as I can tell... but it eliminates those big fangs that hold the passenger pegs, and then you will be able to see the rear wheel in all it's single-sided swingarm glory. TBH, I haven't been out but twice since that outing... and it wasn't quite so bad. That doesn't mean there is a problem, it just means I haven't had time to sit down and fool with it. I have new pads, I really need a stand to put it on so I don't have more to fix after I pull the front wheel off... if you see what I mean.
