Not necessarily a steal but AlpineStars has a new leather/fabric jacket called the Neo that has leather in all the places you would want full grain perforated  leather ( on the outside of the armrs and shoulders w/ 2 different types of fabrics which make up the rest of the stylish jacket. The main fabric is a 600 Denier and corduroy mesh which makes a very breathable, water resistant, abrasion resistant leather jacket. The Corduroy mesh is in the inner arm area which allows for good air circulation. There is a fully lined zip in /out thermal liner. Multi stitched w/ CE approved removeable shoulder and elbow armor,  has a foam back pad insert (a CE-certified RC back protector is available as an accessory) pre-curved sleeves, hook and loop waist adj. pull down wrist zippers. Lots of pockets . Blk, Blk&Blue S-4XL $299.95 MSRP.It sounds like a good jacket for hot weather riding plus it has a stylish look to it.

Roseville Cycle Center has a retail front and ebay store.  They are closing out and discontinuing all Dianese gear.  At least two folks I know have negotiated gear at cost.  Look at the ebay store for inventory, then call them to close the deal. (916) 782-2171.  I think "Bobby" in the retail department is the person to talk to.

If anyone's interested in a backpack, the Ogio No Drag Backpack is $99 at Kneedraggers plus free shipping and no tax to California (Yeah, imagine that).  I've seen this back pack listed anywhere from $119 to $149 everywhere else, not including taxes and shipping.

Not sure if anyone likes AGV lids, but got an e-mail for them on sale over at Dennis Kirk for $145.

Women's 2007 Teknic Violator Jacket at Bike Bandit for only $88

http://www.bikebandit.com/product/4161?WT.mc_id=674310

I've got this jacket (well, the men's sizing) and it's very, very nice, perforated leather with a zip out insulating/waterproof liner -- I'm going to try to make a go of it as my only jacket here in Arizona, and so far so good up to around 95 degrees. It's hot when you're not moving, but you can feel air flowing well when you get going. Though the Bike Bandit blurb doesn't mention it, the Men's version (and other places I've seen the Women's listed) has both an 8" and a full-circumference zipper to attach to Teknics pants (I've got the Chicane leather & I like the way they fit).

Definitely take their advice that the Teknic stuff runs small -- I'm normally a 38 or 40, and a 42 is just the ticket for me in this jacket.

Since it looks like they mainly have White but no photo, here's a couple of quick shots of mine in white:

I just recently bought the one piece chicane.  The elbow and knee armor seem very good.  The shoulder and back armor are useless.  But at a price like that, you have enough $ left over to get good armor.

I am just comparing it to the armor I got in my AGV Sport jacket and pants. It's hard shell armor and soft padding underneath...

While not moto-centric www.steepandcheap.com has gear that is potentially very moto useful (sun glasses, goggles, warm garments, etc.) at sometimes ridiculously low prices, especially if you're into adventure touring rides.  Only thing is that you've got to watch it quite a bit to see what they're selling as they only show one item at a time.  It's kind of addictive to check in.

Well, CycleGear had an in-store 2-hour sale last night during which I ordered one of these for $200, but even at $250 it's a pretty good deal on a decent leather jacket:

Good deal!

Quote
Sizing Information:
We find the Chicane suit to run smaller than most other two piece suits we sell. In general the suits run about two sizes smaller than other comparable jackets/pants. And the overall height of the suit will be fine for average to shorter riders, but will be too short for anybody above average height. We have developed the following chart based on in-house measurements.

Doh!  [bang]  I'm 6'4".  A Dainese Laguna Seca is the best fitment of what I've tried on... and even it is a little short in the legs and arms.

Yet another New Enough post (maybe we should just pipe an RSS feed from NE into this thread?  ;D ), but we just got this Cortech/TourMaster leather jacket for our 14 year old daughter for $49:

http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/bargain_basement/cortech_by_tour_master/ladies_lnx_leather_motorcycle_jackets.html (http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/bargain_basement/cortech_by_tour_master/ladies_lnx_leather_motorcycle_jackets.html)

She was initially resistant to the idea of us buying her a jacket so that she could ride pillion with us -- UNLESS she got to pick it out. I noted that she'd need to do a whole lot more babysitting if she wanted something we'd think was protective enough at full price. I finally got her to at least look at the pictures of this one and as we were scanning through the photos (which start with the $30 more expensive blue & white ones) she was making the kind of disdainful noises only a teenager can generate. But as soon as we hit the leopard print, she was sold. The jacket arrived and is as nicely done as you'd imagine from Cortech, so she's happy & we're happy.  [thumbsup] I recommend it a bunch, especially if you're in the same spot as us.

Free shipping if you buy more than $75 worth of stuff.

So, the KBC Tarmac is not a good helmet.  It fits great, but the visor does not fit flush with the bottom of the helmet, so wind leaks in and makes your eyes water.

Not worth your $50. :)

you could get some rubber adhesive tape and fold it over, making an air seal along the bottom of the visor. Perhaps it's salvageable.

Do tires count as gear?   ???

While I was in Salt Lake City Cycle Gear today I spoke with the manager and he said they were over-stocked on Diablo tires. The company bought 10,000 + tires and had a sale back in October company wide. But because of the snow here in Utah, the tires didnt sell well. So the store manager is offering both front and rear tires for $210 total. It is only in store and he said he would honor the price until the store's stock was gone.

Just passing the info onto you DMFers.  :)

Helimot "classic motorcycle gloves" are now one c-note shipped. Black cow palm instead of 'roo-- otherwise just like their high end H20 in any color as long as it's black... they used to cost the fair price of $170ish. One caveat: they are "closeout" so there are no returns. I love the ones I got on Monday and ordered on Saturday. Helimot is just outstanding!  I don't need a suit but these gloves make me want to save up for one of theirs.

AXO Primato boots and KR8 racing gloves are available super cheap from motorcyclecloseouts.

Boots: http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/sport/motorcycle+boots/axo_primato+sport+boots (http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/sport/motorcycle+boots/axo_primato+sport+boots)
Gloves: http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/sport/motorcycle+gloves/axo_kr8+leather+gloves (http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/sport/motorcycle+gloves/axo_kr8+leather+gloves)

I bought one of each in red white and black, the colors match my Dainese Ducati jacket well.

This is quality Italian gear, for street rather than track probably, but for the price it can't be beat.

Just noting that ordering any Icon gear from STG (http://www.sportbiketrackgear.com/) via email or phone (not online checkout) will score you up to 20% off. Ordering through the store still gets you the discount but in the form of a store credit.

Ok guys....im selling a Mens Icon Daytona leather jacket White size medium. Bought this jacket for my GF thinking that it would fit her and it was to large and too heavy for her to really be comfortable in. This jacket has the CE approved elbow and shoulder armor and the ICON spine protector. I love this jacket...if it were my size i would wear it...but unfortunately its not  :'( the jacket new is 380$ but im asking $125.00 for it....It is a used jacket but still looks very sharp  [thumbsup] has a quilted liner that can be zipped in or out depending on the weather. Jacket is perfect for the track or aggressive street riding.... shoot me a PM if you guys are interested. I live in Thousand Oaks CA so if your in the area and want to see it then let me know!

It does really looks nice and elegant. Does it have discount? I need to save more money when buying stuff like that. Hope an answer from you dude.

Just got an update from outdoor gear discounter The Clymb that they've got the Drift 2 HD camera on sale for the next two days for $250 (retails at $369). I haven't researched these much, but it looks like a good deal on an alternative to the GoPro.

http://www.theclymb.com/brand-event/733/Drift (http://www.theclymb.com/brand-event/733/Drift)

It's a "membership" site -- which means you give them an e-mail and get (endure?) daily e-mail pitches on outdoor gear; currently, they've got deals up from Prana, Sugoi & Drift, and I see things there from Kelty, North Face, some boutique ski/board builders, etc.

The prices seem generally good and I've bought a couple of things there; generally they've gone smoothly, one order was drastically delayed while they moved into a new warehouse... but it still made it in time for Christmas.

If you sign up through this link, I get $10 on my account if you order something http://www.theclymb.com/invite-from/triangleforge (http://www.theclymb.com/invite-from/triangleforge) or you can probably just go through this link & leave me out of the picture: http://www.theclymb.com/ (http://www.theclymb.com/)

Just arrived at my doorstep, some really good deals on casual / under jacket moto gear.

Shift Racing hoodies normally $60-$80 picked up for $12 each on closeout at Ironpony.com. I bought 3 larges in 3 diff styles and these are nice, heavyweight, high quality.

And a Fox Racing Sasquatch hoody (fake fur lined, really comfy, normally $120) for $35 at motorcyclecloseouts.com.

All the Shift gear (jackets, gloves, etc) is being closed out as well, I guess they really are doing away with that name.

Local Barney's.

Wasn't sure if this thread was reserved for websites only, but seemed like the most logical place to post the deal. Just went for a ride with it and absolutely love it.
