German engineering and technology are seriously special! Watch and learn. The pretty German newsgirl also adds a lot to the news video clip of this innovative technology. There's an English translation in subtitles. I'm sure that BMW will pick it up based on the final demonstration of this safety system:

Their shop manual requires removal of the kick stand mount and gear shift lever to get at the oil filter. (I figured out a different way.) I've been riding just the Duc lately while my GT seat is off to Russell. The Monster is an easy maintenance chore compared to the new beermers. The sun is coming up shortly and I'm off for a breakfast ride on mine. It's been great fun to ride lately. I just can't tour on it. |
