They were kind enough to let me reserve the tires on Thursday and leave my rims with them. They had them mounted by Friday and called me about it, but pointed out very clearly that I could only get the special price if I actually paid for them on Saturday. The issue I had was that I was planning to start a long ride around San Francisco Bay an hour before they opened and it would take most of the day. http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=23902.0 (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=23902.0) So after the ride was done and I had cooled off and cleaned up a bit, I went over and picked up my tires. They have the same tread pattern as the Pirelli Diablo Strada, which is my favorite sport touring tire of all time. The only complaint I've heard about the Diablo Strada tires is that they don't last as long as some others. That is not even the slightest concern for me, since I'll be using them on my 888, which gets ridden less than 1000 miles per year, so the tires will probably be old enough to replace before they're worn out anyway. I still have to put the wheels back on the bike, which will probably happen this evening. I was hoping to clean up a few things on the bike while it's partially disassembled and haven't been able to find time. I should enjoy breaking in those new tires.
