Post by: ducducgooseme on January 23, 2009, 06:46:54 PM
Hey there.

i just landed in tokyo and am staying at the Hotel Excel in Akasaka.  I'd love to hook up with some of you in Japan!!  I am here on business for the next 2 weeks.

How far is this from Akasaka http://www.ducatitokyoohta.com/shop.php ?  How hard to get to?

Any of you local guys want to show me around?  I'll buy dinner and the beer!!

Give me a call 7194394233  (if my cell works) or send me an email johndskinner@gmail.com

or... best bet is to call me at the hotel excel in akasaka 03-3580-2311 room 730

anyone around tokyo this weekend?

any ideas of sites for me to see?  i have already been to the emperor's gardens and couple of the local shrines here in Akasaka.

Is the metro hard to learn?  I would really like to go to a Tokyo Ducati shop

Sorry, I got underway at the end of the month.

There really is quite a bit to see and do. As far as getting a tour guide, you might be SoL. If you're getting familiar with the train system, the great Buddha in Kamikura is pretty cool (along with the sweet potato ice cream).

Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Teleport (there's a Duc Accessory shop their too), Yokohama and Kawasaki are decent cities. Yokosuka is the home to the US 7th Fleet and there's a ferry that'll take you around the bay.

I will try to think if there's something else.
