Title: Helmets with Buttons
Post by: Sgt_H on May 11, 2008, 07:32:25 AM
At the last Italian Night someone was talking about a helmet that had a push button, but nobody knew what it did.  It might have been this http://www.akumahelmets.com/product_visor_tod.html (http://www.akumahelmets.com/product_visor_tod.html)  Check out the video at the bottom, it's pretty cool.

Looks cool. I wonder if the helmet itself is any good? I hate being out riding after dark when you're stuck with the dark visor on.

I saw the helmet harbor review on youtube.  They thought it was a good helmet.  The only real drawback they mentioned is that it's loud.

Not for me...I ride with earplugs.

Anyone know what safety rating these carry?

It looks like all of them are DOT and whatever the European standard is, ECE I think?  If I remember correctly the helmet harbor review said that it fits round heads better.  I'm curious to see what their Devildog helmet is going to look like.  If it's cool I might pick one up.  My current lid is less than a year old though so it will have to be pretty sharp.
